Best case scenario for getting out of C.C. Debt?

I know a lot of people ask questions on this but their specifics aren’t usually mentioned except some things that don’t pertain to us. So, my family is around k in C.C. and medical debt. We both had surgeries last year and our insurance sucked so our out of pocket was around k total.

We relocated because our jobs were being terminated and we both, luckily, got jobs but we took about a k hit in combined salaries. We are making ends meet in the sense that minimum payments are being made but it leaves no money for us to even buy groceries. We are on the edge because we do have a 3yr old and eating ramen is not an option. Though, we make too much for assistance. We do not own a house anymore and we have a paid off 2002 car worth around k and a newer car with a lease unfortunately. In better times, we’d be fine but we don’t see any raises coming within the next few years so we need to change something so we can breath and sleep at night without defaulting on all of our bills.

Any suggestions other than Debt consolidation? We have a average combined credit score (which dropped by 60 points within the last year) of 618 if that matters. Our goal is to pay off things without affecting our credit score negatively. Short Term solutions? Long Term?

Thank you for any suggestions.

In Debt, Don't Know What to Do–Debt Consolidations Loans?

My husband and I both have good credit, on the border line of being excellent and we don’t want to do anything that will hurt our credit score.
Together we have 6 credit cards with approximately 00 in debt a mortgage payment and two car payments. I have transferred the balance of one of the cards several times (00) and do not want to do it again, the interest and accrued finance charges will hit in January and there is no way I will be able to pay it off by then, so I need to find a way to consolidate or something before then. One of my biggest problem is that I’m a SHOPPER and I can’t resist a bargin, I put all my extra money towards payments and then have no money to spend so I use a credit card. What kind of solutions can you offer (other than quit shopping, that one I’m well aware of and I have removed all credit cards from my purse), do local banks offer consolidation loans with low interest? Please Help!!
I don’t think a Home Equity loan will work for us because I think they require a home appraisal seeing as we have alot of unfinished projects–thank you Home Depot card. We have everything we need, just lack the time to finish it all.

I do not know what to do about this debt issue! Litigation is involved!?

I had a car accident 2 years ago. Unlucky me, The insurance in the car just finished and i did not know. So i was an uninsured motorist. Now i have 2 insurance claims on my back. 1 for ,000 (insurex) , and the other for ,000. I have never had any credit issues because i have never used my credit. Those 2 insurance claim will definitely have a toll in my credit score. I tried to settle both debt through a debt settlement agency (coastal credit solutions). Both were settled at 9,000 including the attorneys fees. I started making a 0 per month payment. unfortunately, i lost my job and the payment became too high for me. I skipped 5 months. They dropped me out of the program after a ,500 payment. NOw i have several questions.

1- I asked the attorneys in charge of my settlement case to reimburse me the money . They said no. Was i wrong when i was asking? If no what should i do?

2- The 000 insurance claim case has been litigated. I am trying to reopen the case and see if i can settle it myself! is it a good idea?

3- The $ 4,000 insurance claim can still be paid but can i settle that for a half amount?

4-Or should it just find another settlement company?

HELP ME I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW

Can I get a realistic answer for getting out of debt?

I have read and listened to numerous "get of debt" solutions. Are these books for real? The rolling affect of once a credit card is paid off put that payment on the next credit card and so forth? We currently have a ,000 personal loan that is 21% interest. Our payment is 6 a month but they take out 8 every month in insurance and interest. How are we supposed to get out of this loan if our payment is always taken out from underneath us? We are a one income family. I am also wanting to find some income but haven’t had success in finding a NO SCAM stay at home job. Even the ones that were posted to my question a couple of days ago seem shady to me. So….please we are needing some relief before we go under financially with four kids! Help! Any other money saving/earning suggestions? Thanks soooo much!
Just for the record…..we don’t use the credit cards any more…cut those babies up long ago. We are trying really hard to make the payments on all loans/cards. We pay extra when we can. We also don’t want our credit hit again due to the fact we want to move soon. Credit score will drop with each hit. So, refi is out of the question. Credit counseling is a no go as well….damaging to credit in the end. We haven’t had a late pay in 14 months but want to get ahead, ya know? We only have ,000 debt (I say only because that is below the ave of most people) however, it’s above our means.

I owe money for things like medical bills or unpaid phone bills from years ago. How can I find out what I owe so I can start paying it off. Most debt solution places only settle credit card debt. Also one one debt my social security number was not right. Will i still be connected to that debt? I have no credit card debt and Id like to pay off these small debts to get my credit score up
