		<description>No, but we can spend our way to a strong economy.  Then we can cut spending and have plenty of tax revenue to make paying down the National Debt feasible.

Our weak economy is a much, much bigger problem than our debt.

Edit:  Speaking of Medicare, I am a Gen-X&#039;er.  I&#039;ve been paying into Medicare and other social safety nets for half my life already, yet Republicans want to take my benefits away.  I get upset when my generation is asked to pay for something we can&#039;t fully utilize just to cover for the selfish excesses of the Baby Boomer generation.</description>
