Bernanke’s Debt Solution – Central Banks To Change Value Of Money – What It Means For You.

WASHINGTON (AP) – What is .42 trillion? It’s more than the total national debt for the first 200 years of the Republic, more than the entire economy of India, almost as much as Canada’s, and more than ,700 for every man, woman and child in the United States.

It’s the federal budget deficit for 2009, more than three times the most red ink ever amassed in a single year.

And, some economists warn, unless the government makes hard decisions to cut spending or raise taxes, it could be the seeds of another economic crisis.

I am in total debt! I have a collection agency hounding me and I need to know what my best solutions are!!?

Im in debt between 5,000-7,000. (Don’t Judge me I made a mistake!) Now they are tripping me out and I am approved for a loan from school that I will be getting after the holidays but I am scared that I can’t wait. I have tried every avenue and they will not budge with me. I want to make a balance transfer but have closed my credit card accounts for now and I wanted to know if a debt consolidation loan or anything like that is actually helpful. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a quick loan or anything helpful for me to solve this problem??? Please help me! (And I can’t borrow money from any family or friends that is not an option for me) Oh and Ideally I would like to pay it off in the next few weeks before I get "Sued" apparently. Thanks!
I am actually currently in collections and I have been trying to get a monthly payment with them but they are telling me no and that I need to pay two payments of 3500 which is insane and I can’t do that right now. And in regards to the loan, I am approved for one but I am waiting to recieve the money which I will probably get after the holidays, and I am saying that the collection agency is telling me I might get sued by then by the main creditor.

I am a person in search of a debt solution program, I am up to my neck in bills, pay day loans, etc?

Please tell me if anyone knows of a proven program that doesn’t cost to join to help someone who cannot manage money well and has dug themself into a hole so deep it doesn’t look like there’s a way out? Please no jokes only serious inquiries.

Are credit card debt solution companies legit? ?

This is a tad embarrassing, but coming from a lower middle class family and having to almost fully put myself through undergrad and law school, I have racked up a significant amount of credit card debt. I barely make my monthly payment and cannot seem to save any money. My question is if anyone has used those companies that claim to reduce your debt and if so what was the result? thank you.

Debt solutions, what should I do?

Like most Americans, I’m in debt. I’m a student with a part-time job and I’ve sunk into some pretty nasty debts. I have medical bills to take care of, as well as other other stuff. I’ve read a bit about debt consolidation and lots of sources say it’s pretty much a scam (you’re not eliminating the debt, you’re just moving it). I don’t think bankruptcy is a good idea.

What can a college student (undergrad) do to eliminate 00+ debt? Are there loan programs that just give you money and a few years before you have to start repaying it? Are there other alternatives?
I’ve decreased personal expenses to pretty much nonexistant. I don’t really buy clothes and food and such and all of my expenses are either medical bills, textbooks, or a monthly laptop payment.

Why not pay off our national debt by allowing old people to die?

After all, the baby boomers are the irresponsible and selfish generation that has run up this huge debt for decades and now expect the next generation to pay for their excess’. They are now becoming elderly and cost lots of money to care for old people. Isn’t the best solution just to refuse to car for them and let them die? It is a very conservative proposal.
Still not willing to take responsibility I see.

How is Obama supposed to create jobs without spending money or increasing the deficit?

I think I am wasting my time trying to educate republicans on the facts of life.

First of all, government is not the solution to our problems so don’t demand obama create jobs.

Secondly, all government can do to create jobs is to spend money or slash taxes on the rich which both increase our deficit and thus our debt.

Can you guys make up your mind about what you want?

I’m a student in serious debt and need help?

I am going through a tough time right now. I’m currently a student at a culinary school and am currently seeking employment (I have a few interviews later this week, hopefully that works out). I have been working on and off for a few months babysitting, and working for my mom. When I first left for college 2 years ago I got a credit card and spent up to my credit limit quickly and was paying the minimum payment or sometimes a little more. A year later I got a second card in order to purchase an ipod and only used it for that one purchase and again only made minimum payments. Then My first credit cards limit doubled without me applying or anything I just got a letter saying my credit line had increased. I had a consistent job back then, but was a stupid college kid and only made minimum payments even though I knew better and had the ability to pay more. When I switched from a 4 year institution to culinary school my college fund ran out and I had to pay for the rest of school, it ate away at my savings very quickly and soon I went from tons of money saved up and plenty of money form my parents for school to I had no job and no money, and lots of debt And then lastly I went to victorias secret and after my purchase the lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted to join the rewards program and had no idea that I just signed up for another credit card until much later. I haven’t made any payments on these cards in a while because I have absolutely no money to pay them off with… I’ve been selling things on craigslist and applying for jobs because I know I need the money. I also have an unpaid speeding ticket, and probably a warrant out for my arrest because of it. I am in debt and I have no idea what is going to happen if i don’t pay them because I own nothing, there is nothing of mine that anyone can reposes and I’m afraid that I’m going to end up in jail or something. I’m in a situation right now that I feel like I’m trapped and that there is nothing I can do to help myself. I am thinking of taking out a loan so I can pay off my ticket and 1 or 2 or my cards and begin to manage my debt realistically, however I have bad credit and no one to co-sign for me and I dont’ know where to get one. I don’t care if it takes me years to pay it off or if its a high interest I don’t think my situation could get much worse. I am going to get a job, but I don’t think i can pay rent, make payments on my cards and pay a speeding ticket without a loan or something. I see commercials all the time for debt solution and stuff like that but they all seem to be for people with over 5000 of debt or more. I feel like the biggest idiot ever because I was raised to save money and I knew of all the dangers of credit cards and how everything worked, I just put off paying them because I thought I’d have a higher paying job, or something. Please if anyone can give me any advice I feel like i’m about to jump out of a 20 story building or something. and please don’t tell me that I should make all my payments on time, or that I should have planned better or anything like that.
My student loans are for ,500 but they I won’t start paying those off until April of 2009 (they first payment isn’t due until 6 months after I graduate). 2,000$ in credit card debt, and I owe 500 for my ticket.
